The National M.E. Centre
The NMEC began life in the early 1990's and was created out of a support group set up by Dr Betty Dowsett (a microbiologist) and Professor Leslie Findley a consultant neurologist. Both of these doctors were concerned by the growing number of patients they were seeing with ME / CFS and the lack of guidance and support available to those patients.
