Leigh was born on August 25th 1955 and raised in Sydney, Australia.
- 1973-74: Cadet Journalist – Radio 2GB Sydney.
- 1975-76: Political Correspondent Macquarie Radio Network, Canberra Press Gallery.
- 1977-78: News Editor, Radio 2CA, Canberra.
- 1979-81: News Director, then Programme Director Radio 5DN, Adelaide
- 1982-83: Political Correspondent Seven Television Network, Canberra Press Gallery.
- 1984-85: European Correspondent Seven Network, London.
- 1986-88: Presenter of News/Talk Breakfast Programme Radio 5DN Adelaide.
- 1988-1998: Senior Journalist/News Reader, Seven Network, Sydney.
- 1997: Full time study – Moore Theological College. Awarded Diploma of Bible and Missions.
- 2000 – current : Writer, author, publisher, broadcaster.
- Newsreader – Sky News Australia.
- Publisher – Bible Society Magazine, ‘Bibles@work’ in NSW, Western Australia, Tasmania.
- Director – Omega Media Pty Ltd.
- Patron – NSW Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society.
Leigh has been married to Meredith for 27 years and they have four children – Tristan 23, (married to Susie), Amy 20, Johanna 18, Sophie 15.
His hobbies include: Bonsai, Ocean swimming, Music, Ancient Greek, flying computer flight simulators.
